Company history

Founded in 1960 by Jacques Beaulieu, Beau-Lieu Instantané Inc. owes its reputation to a fabulous BBQ sauce made famous at the former Au Coq BBQ rotisserie on Labelle Street in Saint-Jérôme. The rotisserie's Swiss chef gave the secret recipe for his delicious sauce to Jacques Beaulieu, who turned it into a commercial success. Building on that accomplishment, Beau-Lieu Instantané marketed a variety of other, equally tasty food products under the brand name BoCoq Gourmet.


Thirty years ago, Luc Hébert and Chantal Desjardins took over the business from Jacques Beaulieu. To expand the company's activities, they purchased Au Printemps Gourmet in 2008. Today, Beau-Lieu Instantané brings three brands together under one roof: BoCoq Gourmet, Brickstone Fine Foods and AP Gourmet. All products are manufactured at our plant in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec. From the beginning, Beau-Lieu Instantané's success has been built on its innovative spirit, and it has differentiated itself by using high-quality ingredients and providing excellent service. Focused on always offering customized service, the company serves the retail, hotel, restaurant, food service and industrial sectors.
